Fashion Supermodel Spectacular: Agyness Deyn

Agyness Deyn

FashionWATCH currently has a feature running on the always changing and fabulously stunning Agyness Deyn. As she is one of my faves, I couldn't help but share some pieces with you. There are so many unknowns about her, yet she sometimes reads like an open book. Let's explore a bit:

Is Agyness her real name?
Well, not really. She was born Laura Hollins in Littleborough, England and changed her name to Agyness Deyn when she started modeling. FashionWATCH reports the name is a derivative of her mother's maiden name.

Where was she discovered?
She was working at a local fish and chips shop when she met designer Henry Holland of the House of Holland. The two became friends and it was Holland who encouraged her to model.

When did she get her "big break"?
In 2006 she appeared on the cover of the Vogue Paris beauty supplement soaking wet. Within a year she was featured in campaigns for Burberry, Cacharel, Giorgio Armani, Boss, John Galliano, Gianfranco Ferrè and Vivienne Westwood.
